Well India's daughter is a documentary which is created by Leslee Udwin and its going to be released on sunday. But as the people who are willing to offend anything that comes good or bad for just being in news, had offended this ome too.
As sources the creator of this documentary spend two year for just making it and revealing the reality but I think she'd have never thought what reactions these dual standard people will give to it.
The documentry is based on Jyoti Singh, a rape victim of Delhi. She was a medical student and was about to complete her medical education. Her father has sold his land for her education. On the day of incident she was with her male friend, after watching movie, and she was terribly raped by 5 people. Her male friend was hurt too by the rapists.
Now as the documetry is going to be published, everybody is being hasitated. Everyone is offending it, evry party gets together to offend it. BBC is going to release the documentry any how. So the govt. Is thinking upon what steps to be taken. The journalists,media are also offending this on every news channel.
So this was the reaction of india when someone made a film on reality and trust me it was more huge because the creator is an outsider and what is being showed in the truth?? . In india a girl is still feared about wearing short, western as it is stacked on our minds that we are not supposed to adopt western culture. We are the victims but we are not supposed to reveal it to other. And even if it's revealed by someone, it should be us, not others. Seriously, is this what we are??
The things which showed in documentry are truth and still the criminals are not punished. But wait that doesn't matter for these offenders of india, what they cares is not letting any one make a move to let people know what the truth was.
Seriously it was two years ago when the nirbhaya verdict occurred and everyone was against the rapists, media took n advantage for high TRP till the news became chewed, and when it was not advantageous anymore, it was left behind and people forgot after 3, 4 months. Nobuddy cared if the justice is did or not as it was not new anymore for them.
So what I wana say is people should just think before yelling out like this about moral things, the BBC has done nothing wrong as per my point of view. And I even don't know why government is hasitated. May be we should stop being hypocritical and face the issue. And if you wana fight, then fight for justice, not from stopping truth to be revealed.
And I advice people not to be aggressive about the things without being clear about them. We are the youngest country then we should be mature too. And its not that everyone is against it, some people are raising voice for truth too. I've been reading public reaction on twitter and they are saying the same thing. And this discussion is trending on twitter. Whether it is AIB or these documentry, these media and some uneducated hypocrites will offend it to get attention but it's our choice to decide truth.
